From world map to reusable data

01 · Explore

Start with the world map

Use the overview to compare mapped coverage and open a country for a closer view.

02 · Inspect

Zoom into a country

Select markers to inspect mapped type, source ID, and supported speed tags, or browse the searchable record table.

03 · Download

Reuse country or worldwide files

Download CSV, GPX, or KML files generated from the same validated records shown on the site.

What does this map show?

This site presents locations mapped in OpenStreetMap as speed-camera nodes. A mapped record can represent a fixed, average-speed, red-light, or other tagged enforcement location. It is not a live or authoritative register.

Map, inspect, and download

Open a country map to inspect individual records and tagged speeds, or download the same country dataset for use in spreadsheets, GIS software, and compatible navigation tools. Coverage depends on OpenStreetMap contributors and varies by place; absence from this site does not mean a camera is absent on the road.

Questions about the maps and data

Is this an official speed camera database?

No. The current global snapshot is derived from speed camera nodes mapped by OpenStreetMap contributors. It is useful for exploration and open-data reuse, but it is not a live government enforcement register. Any future official country sources will be identified separately.

What can I download?

You can download all 71,974 mapped locations worldwide or choose any available country. CSV is suited to spreadsheets and analysis, GPX to compatible GPS tools, and KML to mapping software.

Does a missing marker mean there is no camera?

No. Coverage varies between countries and places. A camera can be absent, outdated, incorrectly tagged, or not mapped in the source, so this site should not be treated as a complete road-safety or enforcement record.

Can I browse speed cameras by city?

Country maps can already be zoomed to city level. Dedicated city pages will only be published where administrative boundaries or authoritative local sources support a reliable assignment; the site will not guess a city from the nearest place name.
